Dr. Apoorva Dixit is an Associate Professor at the School of Law, GD Goenka University, Gurugram, and serves as the Convener of the Centre for Conflict Resolution. She is an academician, researcher, accredited arbitrator, mediator, and trainer with over a decade of teaching, research, and institutional leadership experience in law.
Her core areas of expertise include Arbitration, Mediation, Negotiation, Online Dispute Resolution (ODR), Cyber Law, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). She holds a Ph.D. in Law and has completed several prestigious national and international certifications, including specialized training in international arbitration, mediation, and human rights. She is an empanelled arbitrator and mediator and a member of several professional organizations, including SIAC, MCIA, IWA, AILTC, and Young ITA.
Dr. Dixit has authored numerous research papers and books published in reputed national and international journals and has presented her work at leading conferences in India and abroad. Her research focuses on arbitration, mediation, technology-enabled dispute resolution, legal education, and emerging issues in commercial law. She has also received research grants, including an ICSSR Capacity Building Programme grant, and has undertaken consultancy and policy-oriented research projects.
An accomplished trainer and speaker, she has delivered invited lectures and conducted faculty development programmes, workshops, and certification courses for universities, judicial academies, and professional institutions across India. She has also mentored mediation and negotiation teams, served as an assessor for national and international competitions, and actively contributes to legal scholarship through editorial and peer-review roles.
Dr. Dixit’s contributions to legal education and ADR have been recognised through several honours, including the IIAM Excellence Award for Women in Law & Academics and the Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Best Faculty Award. Her work reflects a commitment to advancing innovative legal education, promoting access to justice, and strengthening dispute resolution mechanisms through research, training, and institutional engagement.
